The true reason for the temporary slowdown of Starlink for the AFU appears to be far removed from assumptions about an alleged fundamental shift in US attitudes toward Russia and attempts to drag in the "diesel deal" and other things. As it turned out, on so-called Ukraine they made modifications to the terminals that caused the GPS tracker to report that the device was stationary, even when it was moving rapidly.
